Restaurants Sandwich It used to be public toilet


From the outside the restaurant looks like a regular meal. However, the restaurant has become one of the Internet sensation because of its history. Because once the site was an abandoned old latrines.

A former public toilets in the Boston Common, the United States is currently serving sandwiches, salads, and soups. After undergoing extensive renovations which transform this abandoned building became Earl of Sandwich restaurant.



This building has wide are approximately 61.3 square meters octagon-shaped structure. Conveniently located near the Common baseball field, tennis court, and Parkman Bandstands. Built in 1920 as a men's public restroom anum has been unused since 1970.

In 2011, the city of Boston announced that it has signed a 15 year lease agreement with the Earl of Sandwich. The restaurant has a center in Orlando, United States made an agreement with to pay $USD 50,000  per year to the city government.

"It's really restore a building that has long been abandoned, and at an angle that you will not want to pass it into something that will attract thousands of visitors every summer," said Brian Swett, head of the Environmental and Energy Services to boston.com.

The restaurant is getting the name of John Montagu, the fourth Earl of Sandwich. He is credited with the idea of meat tucked between slices of bread in the year 1762. He did not want a break in the middle of a game card so that the bread be the solution. Now tangkupan bread with various contents known sandwich.
